 Cyfronet AGH)\n\n! This training is made exclusively for students and doct
 oral students of Warsaw University! Only registrations affiliated with UW 
 will be able to participate join the training\nThe training covers the bas
 ic use case for a supercomputer. \nDuring this training\, you will learn m
 any useful Linux commands that will allow you to prepare and run a job on 
 a Supercomputer. You will familiarize yourself with the Linux toolset to m
 ake your work on the supercomputer more convenient. The training covers ba
 sic Bash scripting.\nIt does not provide an in-depth description on how t
 o run a job on HPC. That is covered by Running Calculations the HPC way t
 raining provided at ACC Cyfronet AGH.\nLevel\n\nTarget audience\nTraining 
 is intended for people who are familiar with the basics of Linux and haven
 't used a supercomputer yet. \nAgenda\n\nEnvironmental variables and stor
 age spaces - learning distinct features of the supercomputer\; variables\,
  env vars\, export\, $HOME\, $SCRATCH\, $USER\, $PLG_GROUPS_STORAGE\,\nFil
 e permissions - understanding ownership of files\; ls -l\, chmod\,\nTransf
 erring files to and from the supercomputer - tar\, scp\nRunning a job and 
 viewing results - sbatch\, find\, grep\, mc\nScripting in bash - for\, sle
 ep\, date\, seq\, bc\n\nRequirements\nWe recommend doing this training aft
 er familiarizing with the contents of Absolute Basics of Linux training 
 provided at ACC Cyfronet AGH.\nParticipants' computers should be equipped 
 with software that allows SSH connections. On Windows\, it is recommended 
 to use Windows Terminal (not to be confused with Powershell after checking
  if OpenSSH is installed (run ssh -V in the terminal). We advise against u
 sing Putty.\nAt 9:45 am on 29th May 2026 (the day of the training)\, a Dry
 -run will be held. Participants are invited to come to learn how to log in
  to Ares supercomputer before the training and resolve any problems with t
 he Training Team\nVenue\nThe workshop will be conducted online on the Zoom
  platform. The meeting link will be sent to registered participants.\nLang

 aiting list close automatically after 17th February 2026. The Registration
  may close prematurely if the limit number of participants is hit beforeha
