DESCRIPTION:\nIn 2022-2025\, a systematic approach to computational medici
ne pursued by the EU EDITH Project resulted in a holistic idea of virtual
human twin (VHT) as an integrated environment enabling multi-scale\, multi
-temporal and multi-disciplinary representation of quantitative human phys
iology and pathology. The European Commission decided to support practical
implementation of the EDITH Roadmap as the European VHT initiative.\nThe
main goal of the Krakow Conference on Computational Medicine in 2027 is to
discuss different approaches for development new and enhance existing dig
ital twins in healthcare (DTH) so it would be possible to profit from the
emerging European VHT infrastructure to speed-up research in computational
medicine and the practical use of their results.\nWe invite modelers\, cl
inical researchers\, data stewards and curators\, infrastructure experts\,
patient advocacy organizations\, experts in the areas of intellectual\, e
thical\, legal and social issues\, as well as innovative companies to pres
ent their solutions. The Conference will offer an excellent opportunity to
foster greater interaction between communities working in these fields.\n
The conference will be the final showcase of the Teaming for Excellence pr
oject (2019-2027)\, which established the Sano Centre for Computational Me
dicine\, highlighting the main results and sustainability within the ecosy
stem in Krakow and in Europe.\nThe organisation of the Conference is the r
esult of the experience gained by the Sano team during Sano Science Day (2
023\, 2024)\, through cooperation in the Life Science Open Space initiativ
e (since 2019)\, as well as the extensive experience of the Faculty of Co
mputer Science at AGH and the Academic Computer Centre Cyfronet AGH in
this field. Cooperation of these three institutions was successfully dem
onstrated during the previous KCCM in October 2025.\nConference topics inc
