MATLAB on HPC Workshop
Conference Rooms, ground floor
Edison building
The MATLAB on HPC workshop will consist of a half-day, in-person course in which attendees will learn how to submit parallel computing jobs with MATLAB on Cyfronet's supercomputer, Ares, to solve compute- and data-intensive problems using its multicore processors and GPUs.
Afterwards, attendees will be able to take advantage of free consultancy for their current/planned MATLAB projects that aim to use parallel computing or could benefit from a performance boost. Please book your consultancy slots below.
Attendees will access Cyfronet's Ares, submit MATLAB jobs and fetch results – all using their notebooks. By working through common scenarios to parallelise MATLAB algorithms, attendees will gain an understanding of parallel computing with MATLAB on HPC clusters and learn about best practices.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along their MATLAB projects to discuss and consult with MathWorks experts.
Level

Target audience

At MathWorks, he has written training courses and workshops. Raymond currently leads a team integrating MathWorks parallel tools with end-users' HPC clusters and cloud environments, and gives talks and workshops focused on the parallelisation of MATLAB.
Raymond holds a BS in computer science and applied mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and an MS in software engineering from Brandeis University.
Requirements
Attendees should have working knowledge of MATLAB.
Attendees should bring their own notebooks with MATLAB and the MATLAB Parallel Computing Toolbox installed, Version R2025a, R2025b, R2026a, or R2026b.
Venue
The workshop will be conducted on-site in conference rooms on the ground floor of the Edison office building at Kołowa 8, Kraków, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main ACC Cyfronet Building at Nawojki 11.
