DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Raymond Norris (Mathworks)\, Klemens Noga (ACC Cyfro
net AGH)\n\nThe MATLAB on HPC workshop will consist of a half-day\, in-per
son course in which attendees will learn how to submit parallel computing
jobs with MATLAB on Cyfronet's supercomputer\, Ares\, to solve compute- an
d data-intensive problems using its multicore processors and GPUs.\n \nAf
terwards\, attendees will be able to take advantage of free consultancy f
or their current/planned MATLAB projects that aim to use parallel computin
g or could benefit from a performance boost. Please book your consultancy
slots below.\n \nAttendees will access Cyfronet's Ares\, submit MATLAB jo
bs and fetch results – all using their notebooks. By working through com
mon scenarios to parallelise MATLAB algorithms\, attendees will gain an un
derstanding of parallel computing with MATLAB on HPC clusters and learn ab
out best practices.\nAttendees are encouraged to bring along their MATLAB
projects to discuss and consult with MathWorks experts.\nLevel\n\nTarget a
udience\nPolish academics and researchers who are working with data or com
pute-intensive projects and wish to leverage the supercomputing resources
of Cyfronet.\nAttendees are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-workshop
Parallel Computing with MATLAB online webinar on 28th October 2026\, whic
h will provide the basic knowledge needed to fully benefit from this works
hop.\nHighlights\n\nOptimise your MATLAB code by utilising multiple cores\
n\nScale up your training on GPUs\n\n\nWorking with big data in MATLAB \n
\n\nMoving/submitting jobs from your notebook to the Ares cluster\n\n\nPar
allel cluster configuration via local MATLAB GUI\n\n\nFree consultation fo
r your MATLAB projects\n\n\nAbout the Presenter\nRaymond Norris has worked
at MathWorks for over 30 years as a Quality Engineer\, a Technical Consul
tant\, and now\, most recently\, as an Application Engineer. At MathWorks\
, he has written training courses and workshops. Raymond currently leads a
team integrating MathWorks parallel tools with end-users' HPC clusters an
d cloud environments\, and gives talks and workshops focused on the parall
elisation of MATLAB. \nRaymond holds a BS in computer science and applied
mathematics from the University of Massachusetts\, Boston and an MS in so
ftware engineering from Brandeis University. \nRequirements\nAttendees sh
ould have working knowledge of MATLAB.\nAttendees should bring their own n
otebooks with MATLAB and the MATLAB Parallel Computing Toolbox installed\,
  Version R2025a\, R2025b\, R2026a\, or R2026b.\nVenue\nThe workshop will b
e conducted on-site in conference rooms on the ground floor of the Edis
on office building at Kołowa 8\, Kraków\, which is about a 15-minute wal
k from the main ACC Cyfronet Building at Nawojki 11.\n\nLanguage\nEnglish\
 nDuration\n3 hours\nRegistration and eligibility\nRegistration and the Wai
ting list close automatically at 23:59 CEST on 29th October 2026. The Regi
stration may close prematurely if the participant limit is reached\, but t
he Waiting List will remain available until the deadline above. We're mode
rating registration due to logistical constraints. You will be notified ab
out acceptance no later than 30 October.\nPlease use your institution's e-
mail address. Registrations using generic or private e-mail addresses cann
ot be accepted. At that e-mail address\, you will be contacted with furthe
r information.\nThis course is co-funded by the European Union. Therefore\
, the course is open to participants from academia\, industry\, and public
administration from the Member States (MS) of the European Union (EU) and
Associated/Other Countries participating in the Horizon Europe programme.
 \nOrganised by\n\nFunded by\n\nAcknowledgements\nEuroCC 3 has received fun
ding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU)
under Grant Agreement No. 101306701. The JU receives support from the Eur
