The training "Introduction to Linux command line and Bash shell" is intended for users who want to familiarize themselves with the Linux command line and Bash shell, which are the primary means of accessing HPC resources.

Part 1:

  • Command line as a means of accessing remote servers 
  • Overview of working in the text-based shell of Linux systems
  • Navigating file systems 
  • Creating and working with files 

 

Part 2:

  • Searching through files 
  • Data access permissions 
  • Working on remote machines
  • Basics of scripting

Requirements

Participants' computers should be equipped with software that allows SSH connections to be made.

Venue

The workshop will be conducted online on the Zoom platform. The meeting link will be sent to registered participants.
