Description
Publishing scientific outputs in open access became equally important for all stakeholders engaged in a research cycle. But the key to success is when these publications are easily findable, discoverable, and visible. Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) is a community-driven discovery service for open access books. DOAB provides a searchable index to scholarly, peer-reviewed books and helps users to find trusted open access book publishers. DOAB is also a reliable source of freely available metadata of open access books that are already into the catalogues of more than 1500 libraries around the world. Currently, over 79 000 academic peer-reviewed books, from 725+ publishers globally and in 85+ languages, are indexed in DOAB. The topic of this short presentation will be on how to index open access books in DOAB and how all stakeholders can benefit from it.
